From the Western Red Cedar Tree, Arborvitae essential oil is concentrated in tropolones, which are a group of chemical compounds that protect against seasonal threats and have powerful purifying properties. Native to Canada and NorthWest United States, all parts of the Arborvitae tree were used extensively by Native Americans for health benefits and for building vessels, totem poles, baskets, and clothing.
It is uniquely concentrated in methyl thujate which is an effective mould inhibiter. Because of its natural preserving properties, Arborvitae prevents wood from rotting, which makes it popular in woodcraft and for preserving natural wood surfaces.

Arborvitae essential oil has a high concentration of tropolones, such as hinokitiol, which are a group of chemical compounds that protect against environmental and seasonal threats and have powerful purifying properties. This means its a natural insect repellent when applied to the skin and can be used to purify the air when diffused. Can also be used to promote clear, healthy skin.
Diffusion: Use four to five drops in the diffuser of your choice.
Topical use:Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimise any skin sensitivity.
