The major active components of cinnamon bark essential oil are cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, and linalool. These three make up about 82.5 percent of the oil’s composition. Cinnamaldehyde is the main volatile oil found in cinnamon bark and is responsible for most of it's medicinal properties.
